When I was a young man, I wanted to change the world
I found it was difficult to change the world, so I tried to change my nation.
When I found I couldn’t change the nation, I began to focus on my town. I couldn’t change the town and as an older man, I tried to change my family.
Now, as an old man, I realise the only thing I can change is myself, and suddenly I realise that if long ago I had changed myself, I could have made an impact on my family.
My family and I could have made an impact on our town.
Their impact could have changed the nation and I could indeed have changed the world.

Hopefully this will all be changing in September when we head to the States for 2 weeks! 5 days in New York and the rest in South Carolina visiting family.

“Hi Tumblr!”
Well today was the day i finally decided to sign up to Tumblr!
Another site to add to the ever growing list of social media subscriptions I have along with the likes of Twitter (which I never use but feel the need to have anyway); Facebook (where I keep myself up-to-date with the dramatic lives of past friends I would have otherwise left behind many years ago); Bebo (A Peasant Man’s Facebook from my University days) and finally Adroblip (a photography journal website which I update once in a blue moon).
It seems like it’ll be a good place to share photos with distant friends and family. I’ve also had a good scroll through the pages of Tumblr and like the range of what’s available, so who knows we may get along fine!? We’ll just have to wait and see!
